Beauty standards and beauty norms contribute to strict expectations of what physical attractiveness is should be. Images white function oppressively toward other races their understandings beauty. In the context migratory fiction, relationship between race becomes central. The appropriation dominant group signals about immigrants’ eagerness follow rules accept norm receiving country. On hand, an attempt industry ideology very often leads self-hatred low esteem. They suffer from inferiority complex as they are comparing themselves a standard that biologically unattainable for them achieve. article deals with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s novel “Americanah”. main protagonist, Ifemelu, after arriving Nigeria U.S.A. changes her hair style she influenced by racial stereotypes White attractiveness. She believes chances will be higher relaxes hair. Instead, suffers loss because bad treatment. Her despair verbalized in blog-writing, where Ifemelu criticizes which promotes certain standards. After some years U.S.A rejects structural racism return natural This symbolic act reclaiming identity long suffering regime race. To analyze oppressive nature we have used methods close reading, hermeneutics, character’s typology.
